As Halloween approaches, we're getting ready for the most spiritual day of the year! Those who love to tap into divine wisdom but also have an appreciation for mermaids will love these beautiful decks.

Dive into your own intuition with these visually pleasing mermaid tarot and oracle decks.

Before I share some of the best mermaid tarot cards to buy, let me share some information about tarot cards.

What are tarot cards?

A tarot deck is a magical deck of cards that relies on the reader's intuition to bring forth cards that each have a unique meaning. A tarot deck includes 78 cards consisting of the major arcana and minor arcana. There are four suits in the minor arcana. They are swords, pentacles, wands, and cups.

The Major Arcana is a set of 22 cards in the tarot that represent powerful archetypes and life lessons, such as The Fool, The Lovers, and Death. These cards reflect deep spiritual themes and significant turning points on a person’s journey of growth and self-discovery.

Do tarot cards really work?

There is no straight yes or no answer. Tarot readings are a matter of personal belief. Some say they are real and have power, some say they are mumbo jumbo, and some say it is all placebo effect.

I'm not a staunch believer in tarot cards, but I've used them before and I've found some usefulness, whether it's spirits guiding me, my own intuition, or a coincidence that the cards I've drawn had meaning and guidance that was relevant to me.

It is my belief that if you believe in tarot cards, they will seem to work for you. Just like how if you believe in yourself, you are more likely to accomplish your dreams. Belief is a powerful thing.

It's important not to take tarot cards too seriously. We can get caught up in what the cards say and obsess over them. They are not 100% fact in what they come up with, and they cannot predict the future with certainty. They are a matter of interpretation.

Take all of this with a grain of salt.

Are tarot cards evil?

There are many people who believe tarot cards are evil, and of the devil. I don't believe they are evil. They are just pieces of paper with art and meanings that humans prescribed to them. I see tarot readings in a similar light as prayer. It's a personal spiritual experience for the person participating, that may or may not be real, but helps people, nonetheless.

They are not objectively good or bad. There is no 100% accurate evidence to support them being good, evil, or even real, but many people like them for the aesthetic and/or the comfort they can provide.
