Beach Essentials To Improve Your Summer: Product recommendations

Updated: Jul 14

Summer is officially here! It's the time of the year us beach lovers look forward to most. With the hot days approaching, some of us just long to be lounging on the beach and taking a refreshing dip in the ocean.

When planning a fun beach trip with friends, there are many things to take into consideration, such as comfort, fun, and food. In this article I provide some product recommendations to scale up your beach trip.

Beach essentials for comfort

When you go to the beach it is important to bring something that you can sit or lay on. This beach blanket is large enough for a group of people to sit on, and it is water proof. It comes with stakes so you can prevent it from blowing away. The material is slick and won't get grains of sand stuck in it. It also comes in a convenient travel pouch.

The TCEK RiseLite chair is a cozy chair to bring to the beach. It folds up into something smaller and is easy to travel with. It comes with a nice case that has a strap on it for easy transportation. It has two different height settings, so it is suitable for people tall or short. Check out my video review of this product.

A popup tent is just what you need to stay safe from the sun and to have some extra privacy.

Make sure to check the rules of the beach you go to. Some don't allow tents. I got a ticket for that once! Don't be like me...

When you aren't in the water, it's easy to get overheated. Some people aren't into swimming, or may even be afraid of the ocean. This product is for them. Stay cool with a small handheld fan. It doesn't take up lots of space, making it easy to bring to beach. You can just throw it in your beach bag. It can also stand up on its own for a hands free cool breeze.

Beach essentials for Food

You can't forget to stay hydrated while on a beach trip. Having cold drinks is especially refreshing when you're sitting in the sun for hours. This backpack cooler will help your beverages stay ice cold for hours! Since it is a backpack, you can transport your drinks hands free. You can include drinks, and snacks, and use the front and side pouches for other things.

It's important to keep your belongings safe during a beach trip. It can really put a damper on your day when someone steals your phone or wallet. These water bottles conveniently store away valuables, and no one would suspect it. Stay hydrated while hiding important things.

When you're out in the hot sun for hours it's SO important to stay hydrated. Rather than buying plastic water bottles, here's a great reusable one that is big enough to last a while without refilling. It has a straw and a handle, for your convenience.

This handy little product allows you to have your items in reach without worrying about them getting sandy. It comes with cup holders and some bigger spots for other objects.

Fun beach essentials

I've always loved frisbees, and that includes frisbee based games such as Kan Jam and the like. Here's a version of the game that makes a great addition to a beach trip.

I love having a catch with a frisbee. It's a low key activity that has no rules. You just gotta hope it's not a windy day at the beach.

One of the best feelings is gliding along the water on a skim board. It provides fun, but can also be a good workout since you have to practice balance on it. Enjoy the cool ocean spray and the feeling of wind on your face.

You can't go to the beach without a beach ball! It's a classic staple of a beach trip. You can even bring it in the ocean for some water beach volley ball.

Sanitation and health beach essentials

It's vital to use sunscreen while at the beach. The UV rays of the sun can cause burns and cancer with too much exposure. Screen up every 2 hours. Reef friendly sun screen is much better for the environment than regular sunscreen.

Eco friendly soap is a good idea for when you shower off in the outdoor showers that most beaches have.

This plant based hand sanitizer is hypoallergenic and better for the environment than regular hand sanitizer. It comes in a travel sized spray bottle with a cap, so you can't accidentally get it all over your bag.

Miscellaneous beach essentials

This water proof case is a life saver! I use mine for all kinds of water and beach adventures. It keeps sand out of your phone's crevices and prevents it from getting wet. It makes it easier to use your phone after you've come out of the ocean and are dripping wet.

You'll definitely need a bag when you go to the beach. You'll have somewhere to store your sunscreen, towels, shoes, snacks, and whatever else you may need. I love this bag because it is large enough to fit lots of stuff and has many pouches.

A beach trip is even better when you have your favorite jams playing. This waterproof speaker is just what you need, with bluetooth capabilities and a clip so you can attach it to your bag. Make sure not to play music super loudly, as many beaches have rules about speakers.

Other things to bring

  • Trash bag

  • Napkins

  • Sandals/ flip flops

  • Sweater or cover up in case you get chilly

  • Book

  • Umbrella

  • Hat

  • Flotation devices

Those are all the products I have to share with you in this article. Hope you found this to be helpful. Have fun and safe beach trips this summer!
